Sr. Patience BOLUNDA YANGOTIKALA Fdls.
Director of the “La Sagesse” school complex in Isangi, Democratic Republic of Congo
Three words: “Hello, Excuse-me and Thank you” are according to a Congolese artist the most important expressions for life in society.
We cannot remain without expressing our gratitude as beneficiaries of financial assistance from the Congregation of the Daughters of Wisdom for the sponsorship for the 2016-2017 school year of three quarters (3/4) of the schooling costs for thirteen students for an amount totalling $806
As it is in every private school offering a quality education, the school complex “La Sagesse” an important financial participation on behalf of the parents of the children, whom cannot always assume these costs. Because of this situation, we are faced with many cases of school dropouts by the students, unpaid debts and failure of certain students having no choice but to leave the school for financial reasons.
We express our heartfelt thanks to the Congregation of the Daughters of Wisdom for its moral and material support. We especially thank the sponsorship team that has allowed many poor students to follow regular courses, without interruption, throughout the year. Favoring accessibility to a quality education, many disadvantaged children have succeeded. We have registered less school dropouts by the students and a slight increase in revenue for the school.
A special thank you to the General Leadership team of the Daughters of Wisdom that, through the intermediary of Sister Isabelle Retailleau, General Councillor, guided and accompanied us in the steps required to allow the sponsorship project to be feasible.
In the name of all of the community of the “La Sagesse” school complex and all of the students who have benefited, we say:
Merci ! Thank you ! Aksanti ! Matondi ! Twasakidila ! Matondo !
