“I was a stranger and you welcomed me” (Mt 25:35)
The International Migrants Day, celebrated annually on December 18, is an opportunity to remind ourselves of the importance of welcoming and fraternity towards those who, driven by the quest for a better life, leave their homeland.
This day resonates deeply with our mission to accompany the most vulnerable. Inspired by the Gospel and the example of Marie-Louise Trichet, the sisters have always worked to give voice, dignity, and hope to those in need.
Today, thousands of migrants face difficult trials: exile, loneliness, rejection, and sometimes even the loss of their cultural and family landmarks. On this day, we are invited to look upon them with compassion and to act, according to our means, to build a more humane, just, and supportive world.
By welcoming the stranger, we welcome Christ Himself. Let this day inspire us to:
May we, together, build a future where welcome and fraternity are the foundations of our actions and prayers, for a more fraternal world.
