International community for preparation to perpetual vows in Madagascar, July 28- October 05, 2019
Coming from different cultures and three nationalities, Congo, Spain and Madagascar, our mission was to form an international community, Our Lady of Unity, composed of 11 Daughters of Wisdom, 9 with temporary vows and 2 Formators.
Inspired by the Word of God: “Take my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart.” (Mt. 11: 29) and from our charism: “Do everything out of love.” (Marie-Louise L. 16) we began our journey. Throughout our formation, we experienced Wisdom’s invitation in our living together and our sharing. This formation strengthened our path towards perpetual commitment in the Congregation. It confirmed our vocation to religious life specifically as Daughters of Wisdom, and encouraged us to live as prophets and missionaries following the example of Christ Wisdom. Through the various sessions and the in-depth study of our spirituality, charism and Rule of Life, we felt the overall movement going through our Congregation recommending that we open our hearts to “Love without Borders” so as to continue the work of our Founders, St. Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort and Blessed Marie-Louise of Jesus. In the enchanting setting of Aina village, where two communities of Daughters of Wisdom live, we enjoyed the wonderful experience of being women consecrated to God. With appropriate means, this privileged time allowed each one to know herself better and to appreciate her gifts and challenges. We were also impressed by the meeting of two exceptional witnesses of the Gospel for our time: Father Pedro Opeka, who works with the families of the street and Pope Francis who visited this country during our stay.
How can we not praise the Lord? We give thanks to God for this privileged time offered to us by the Congregation through the various interveners: Sr. Lourdes Alonso Vicente and Sr. Berthe Léa Razanarisoa who accompanied us, and also all the Daughters of Wisdom who prayed for us and the people who contributed in making this experience unforgettable.
