These are the words of the meaningful song that Joe Kirinam composed for the 5 days of activism against violence: “So many women are crying, so many children are suffering, so many men are in pain, because of all forms of violence” says the song. Here in Kiunga, the Diocesan Family Life Service has been talking loudly, in most of our Parishes, about Domestic Violence in the last 5 years. It surely had an impact in some areas as some couples are responding and many are changing their patterns of behaviour. Encouraged by such a response; we - David, Myriam as Couple-Leader of the Diocese and myself, as Coordinator of the Service, have decided to make a bigger impact on a wider population across the province. Based on the 20 national days of activism against violence and corruption, we focused on 5 days, and it all happened from November 19-23, 2008.
