The mission of the Intercultural Community of the Daughters of Wisdom in Huntington Station, NY is among Long Island’s immigrant population. In the past three years, the immigrant population on Long Island has doubled. Nearly one in five Long Islanders is now born outside of the United States. What is well-being defined? What is its level in Haiti? Can an alternative to its culture be found?

Being aware of the call of the Congregation to support the vulnerable, especially women and children, the Delegation of Great Britain and Ireland supports The Gate as one of its priorities. The Gate reaches out to women involved in the sex industry in Southampton, offering women routes out of prostitution, working alongside them, offering them support and empowerment to achieve their potential.
We just received a request from our Sisters in Peru.
The situation is critical with the flooding in the country.

Following the decision of the 2012 General Chapter, the General Council presented to the Council of Congregation 2013, the possibilities for relocating the General House. For various practical and legal reasons, all the Leaders of the Entities who were assembled, endorsed the option to relocate the new General House in France, the country of origin of the Congregation.
