General House of the Daughters of Wisdom - 2017
FROM ROME TO PARIS ...

In 1950, in order to make the relationship easier among the Major Superiors, Pope Pius X11 asked the General Councils of International Congregations to settle in Rome. At that time, the international dimension of religious life was expanding. Conscious of that important reality in their Congregation, the Daughters of Wisdom responded to the call of the Church. In this way, they benefited from the rich reflection of the “Union of Major Superiors” during many years.
Today, with communication being rapid and easily accessible, the requirements are not the same. Following the decision of the 2012 General Chapter, the General Council presented to the Council of Congregation 2013, the possibilities for relocating the General House. For various practical and legal reasons, all the Leaders of the Entities who were assembled, endorsed the option to relocate the new General House in France, the country of origin of the Congregation.
The General House is now situated at au 3bis, rue du Commandeur, 75014 PARIS, France.
This is an important turning point for the Congregation. However, it is not without requirements and detachments but it is also a new impetus toward the future!
Here are some pictures of the event which testify the active participation of the Sisters and the skilled workers essential to the smooth running of the moving process!
Thank you for the moral support from each Daughter of Wisdom.
Thank you to those who have taken up this challenge toward the future.
